(27 Feb 09 - RV) Pope Benedict today met with another group of bishops from Nigeria.
Nigeria is almost evenly divided among Muslims and Christians, while the Christians
include a large number of Catholics, Anglicans, Protestants, and Evangelicals. Religious
differences have often played a role in the violence which plagues the country. Bishop
Emeritus of the Diocese of Enugu, Anthony Okonkwo Gbuji, spoke to us about
interfaith and ecumenical challenges in Nigeria.
