Marking the Birth of a State

(31 Jan 09 - RV) A press conference yesterday here at the Vatican announced a series of events that will mark the 80th anniversary of the signing  of the Lateran Pacts which heralded the birth of Vatican City State.
The pacts were signed on 11 February 1929 and exhibit will open on that date this year and run through May.
A concert will also take place at the Vatican to commemorate the pacts.
