(13 Jan 09 - RV) A South African court cleared the way yesterday for new corruption
charges against African National Congress leader and presidential hopeful Jacob Zuma.
The
decision comes just two days after Zuma launched the ANC's manifesto for elections
to be held in March or April.
We spoke to Gunther Simmermacher, the editor
of the South African Catholic Weekly, the Southern Cross, on what this ruling means
for Jacob Zuma at the polls.
