UN Member States Split Over Decriminalisation of Homosexuality.
(19 Dec 08 - RV) UN member states were split yesterday on the issue of the decriminalisation
of homosexuality. 66 of the U.N.'s 192 member countries signed a nonbinding declaration
to end legal punishment based on sexual orientation. But there was broad opposition
from Muslim Nations and the United States refused to sign the document indicating
that some parts of the declaration raised legal questions that needed further review. The
