Tensions High Between India and Pakistan After Mumbai Attacks
(01 Dec 08 - RV) India said today it has called Pakistan's envoy and informed him
the Mumbai attacks were carried out by militants from Pakistan, and demanded swift
action against those responsible. Indian investigators said the Islamist gunmen had
months of commando training in Pakistan. Tensions are high between the two countries
in the aftermath of last week’s deadly terrorist violence in India’s financial capital.
Several countries have already sent forensics and other units to assist in the investigation,
and US President George W. Bush has sent Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice in a show
