(30 Oct 08 - RV) Refugees International issued a report today urging the Iraqi government
and donor countries to do more to support millions of refugees living outside Iraq,
rather than seeking to lure them home to a still-violent country. According to the
International Organisation for Migration some 2.8 million Iraqis have been displaced
from their homes within Iraq. Another 2 million are believed to be outside the country,
mainly in Syria, Jordan and Lebanon. Najla Chahda is a social worker directing
the Caritas Lebanon Migrant Centre where Iraqi refugee families have been arriving
