(23 Oct 08 - RV) The International Committee of the Red Cross said today that the
situation of ill patients in the Gaza Strip who cannot obtain medical treatment is
“extremely worrying.” The reduction of medical supply imports and a strike of Palestinian
health workers that has been underway since August are exacerbating the already critical
situation. Kelsea Brennan-Wessels spoke with ICRC spokesperson Anne Sophie Bonefeld
about why medical supplies are so difficult to obtain.
