American Bible Society Give Pope Benedict XVI Polyglot Edition of Sacred Scripture

(08 Oct 08 - RV) The 12^th Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops is underway here at the Vatican. For three weeks, bishops from every continent are gathered with representatives from other Christian confessions and even non-Christian participants to discuss “The Word of God in the Life and Mission of the Church.” During the course of the Synod Proceedings yesterday, the American Bible Society presented the Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI, with a special polyglot edition of Sacred Scripture.
