(23 Sep 08 - RV) Burma’s military government is releasing 9,002 prisoners today as
a gesture of “loving kindness and goodwill”. The release came ahead of the one-year
anniversary of the junta's deadly Sept. 26-27, 2007, crackdown on anti-government
protests that were led by Buddhist monks. The Director of Burma Campaign UK, Mark
