17 Sep 08 - RV) A conference in Rome examining the papacy of Pius XII came to a close
today, after three days of intense labours under the sponsorship of the New York-based
Pave the Way Foundation.
Fr. Dennis McManus is the current keeper of the archives
of Jesuit Fr. Robert Graham, who spent three decades gathering all the information
he could find in connection with Pope Pius XII’s relationship with and actions in
behalf of Jews, especially during the war years.
On the sidelines of the conference,
Fr. McManus told us about how Fr. Graham came to be involved in the search for the
true legacy of the pope who led the Church through the dark days of World War II…
