(30 Aug 08 - RV) At least 44 people were wounded today when a blast hit a crowded
market in Sri Lanka's capital Colombo. In recent weeks, the military has increased
its attacks against the separatist Tamil Tiger rebels in the country’s north, after
officially scrapping a ceasefire in January. The 25-year civil war has killed over
70,000 people and displaced another 150,000.
