Despite a Cease-Fire Agreement, Violence Continues in Georgia

(14 Aug 08 - RV) Russia's foreign minister declared today the world «can forget about» Georgia getting back its two separatist provinces. Meanwhile, Russian troops swept through several areas of Georgia today, saying they are searching for military equipment left behind by Georgian forces.
The United Nations World Food Programme is responding to the humanitarian crisis in Georgia with 34 metric tons of high energy biscuits for the thousands of people displaced by the recent conflict. WFP spokesperson Natasha Scripture told us more.
