South Africa in the Grip of a National Strike

(06 Aug 08 - RV) The rising costs of living have urged tens of thousands onto the streets in South Africa for a one day national strike.

South African labour federation COSATU called for strike and marches to protest over an electricity crisis that has led to power cuts across the country.
