U.S. National Conference on Migration Takes Place in Washington

(1 August 08 - RV) A U.S. National Conference on Migration promoted by the Episcopal Conference of the United States and in collaboration with Caritas has been taking place this week in Washington. The theme for the meeting which concludes today is Renewing hope,  seeking Justice. Secretary of the Pontifical Council for Migrants and Itinerant peoples, Archbishop Agostino Marchetto has been participating at the conference. He says the difficulties irregular migrants face in the United States has been an issue at the meeting.
