(04 July 08 - RV) Israel says it is keeping Gaza's border crossings closed in retaliation
for a rocket attack yesterday.
All cargo passages remained shut today, after
Palestinians fired the rocket from Gaza toward Israel.
No injuries were reported
from that attack.
The cargo crossings have now been closed for a total of seven
days - ever since a June 19th cease-fire went into play.
Gershon Baskon, Co-CEO
of the Israel-Palestine Center for Research and Information, told us that the closures
have become a standard response to rocket fire, but that both sides are making efforts
to maintain the current truce.
