Mideast Peace Quartet Meets in London

The British capital was the focus of diplomatic talks today.


The Middle East Quartet of the United States, United Nations, European Union and Russia met with donor countries to discuss ways to revive the moribund Palestinian economy and the limited progress since the Annapolis Conference last year tried to restart the Middle East peace process.


Prof. Gershon Baskin, founder of the Israeli/Palestinian Centre for Research and Information, spoke with Emer McCarthy.

He says that the political situation remains complex without any real improvements for ordinary citizens from either community.
