Pope Benedict Going to Basilica of Saint Bartholomew

(07 Apr 08 - RV) Pope Benedict was scheduled to be meeting at the Basilica of St. Bartholomew Monday evening. The church is located on the Tiber Island here in Rome. He is celebrating a Liturgy of the Word with the Community of Sant'Egidio, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary.

The community has been entrusted with the Basilica, which has been especially dedicated to the martyrs of the modern age.
