Calls For Peace In Afghanistan

(15 Feb 08 - RV) The Canadian bishops conference yesterday released a statement calling for a true peace process in Afghanistan and for greater transparency on the part of the government on the issues surrounding the conflict.

Canada currently has 2,500 Canadian soldiers in the southern city of Kandahar and has suffered more losses than other NATO forces.
