Bomb Explosion in Lebanon

(25 Jan 08 - RV) A bomb exploded near an overpass in mainly Christian East Beirut today, killing a police officer and at least five other people.

Lebanon has suffered at least 30 bombings in the last three years, many hitting anti-Syrian politicians and journalists.

Professor of political science at St. Joseph’s University in Beirut is Kalil Karam.

He says the latest bombing is only serving to unite people against more terrorist attacks.
