EU-Africa Summit Set to Begin in Lisbon

(07 Dec 07 - RV) Zimbabwe’s President Robert Mugabe has arrived in Lisbon, Portugal, ahead of this weekend’s E.U. – Africa Summit. He is banned from the E.U. but was let in after African leaders threatened to stay away if he was not invited. “Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights” Spokesperson Tafadswa Mugabe says the president’s visit is serving as a major distraction from the summit’s key issues.
