Rebels in Darfur Destroy Entire Town

(08 Oct 07-RV) A Darfur town has been burned to the ground and its residents forced to flee, days after 10 African Union troops were killed in an attack in the same town. A UNITED NATION’S report confirmed rebel statements that the remote south-eastern settlement of Haskanita, home to 7,000 people had been all but destroyed.
