First Anniversary of Deadly Bombings in Mumbai

(11 July 07 - RV) Indian officials tightened security in Mumbai today on the first anniversary of the train blasts that claimed the lives of 180 people and wounded another 700. Thousands of Mumbai residents gathered today to light candles and bow their heads in prayer for the victims. Spokesperson for the Indian Bishops Conference is Fr. Babu Joseph. He says the Church in Mumbai is working hard to promote peace.
