31st Ordinary Assembly of CELAM Convenes in Cuba

(11 July 07 - RV) The 31st Ordinary Assemby of CELAM is underway this week. For the first time ever, the meeting is taking place in Cuba. Vatican Radio's Coordinator for Program Promotion in Latin America is Cuban-born Jesuit Father Ernesto Travieso. He spoke with us about the significance of holding the meeting in the island nation that has been ruled for more than forty years by a communist leader.
