Conference on Climate Change Calls for Immediate Action

(4 May 07 - RV) International delegates at a U.N. sponsored Conference on Climate Change in Bangkok today agreed that the world has the technology and money to limit catastrophic global warming. However, they say that action must be taken now in order to reduce the harmful effects of greenhouse gas emission. Delegates from more than 120 countries participated. Professor Peter Smith, of the University of Aberdeen, is one of the leading authors of the report's chapter on agriculture.
