said today, he could leave because of a pro-government assault on a main town.

Minnawi says the government is rearming the Arab Janjaweed militia, who he accused
of attacking the town of el-Fasher.
Minawi, who has become the senior adviser
to the sudanese president, refused to go his office at the presidential palace today
after denouncing the attacks in El Fasher.
