Concern for Arctic Sea Ice

(18 September 06 - RV) Arctic Sea Ice is shrinking faster than ever before. That's the startling new finding by a NASA study which documented ice which remains all year round declined by an area similiar to Pakistan. Scientists have pointed to the sudden and rapid melting as a sure sign of man-made global warming which threatens the world's delicate ECO system. The significant shrinkage may be partly due to wind patterns, although rising temperatures in the Arctic could also be too blame. We spoke to Columban Missionary and Environmental Author, Father Sean McDonagh. He says the church can play a part in helping to preserve God's creation.
