(August 30, 2006 -RV-) A Southern African Christian organization has issued a report
addressing the treatment of evicted shanty-dwellers in Zimbabwe. The Solidariity Peace
Trust's report details continuing conditions of suffering for many of the 700 thousand
persons, whose shanty houses were destroyed by the Zimbabwean government more than
a year ago. Zimbabwe's President Robert Mugabe says the operation was needed to clean
