(17 July 06 - RV) Peace talks continued today between the Ugandan Government and rebels,
aimed at ending a 20-year insurgency that has killed thousands and left millions homeless.
The Government yesterday called on the Lord's Resistance Army to disarm and demobilize.
Rebel leaders are notorious for the use of child soldiers, and the savage abuses committed
by its troops has led to the International Criminal Court issuing an indictment of
its two top leaders. Father Giulio Albanese worked for years in Uganda and founded
