The Future of Religious Education

(13 Jul 06 - RV) Delegates of 34 European Bishops' Conferences have just concluded meeting in Rome on the future of religious education. The group are working to develop a paper on the situation surrounding the teaching of the Catholic faith in their countries’ schools.
They began this project by constructing a questionaire, the results of which are due to be presented at a symposium in rome next year. But, one of the participants - Deputy Secretary General of the CCEE, Monsignor Peter Fleetwood – told us that this is just a beginning…
