900,000 Stand Firm in Faith

(28 May 2006 RV) Pope Benedict XVI marked the final day of his apostolic trip to the land of his predecessor with a series of emotionally and spiritually- charged activities. He began the day with some 900,000 Poles who sang, clapped and chanted «Benedetto, Benedetto» at Mass in a soggy field. Pope Benedict urged them to share their faith with other countries in an increasingly secular Europe. He added that this was the best way to honor his predecessor, John Paul II.
