(27 April 2006 - RV) Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak declared today that his country
would defeat terrorism. Two suicide bombers struck yesterday in north Sinai but the
attackers failed to injure their targets - police and international peacekeepers.
It came less than 48 hours after explosions in the Sinai resort of Dahab killed 24
people and injured scores of others. The Apostolic Nuncio to Egypt, Archbishop Michael
Fitzgerald, tells us how the country is responding to the violence..
