Priest and regular radio guest passes away

(22 Mar 2006 - RV) A frequent guest on our programmes, Father Joseph Barrett, passed away on Sunday on his feast day. He was 93 years old and had served the Society of Jesus for seven decades. Veronica Scarisbrick attended the funeral, which took place earlier today in Rome's Church of the Jesù, and spoke to Jesuit Michael Paul Gallagher who gave the homily on the solemn occasion.
