(31 JANUARY 2006 - RV) Attacks against six churches in Iraq have heightened fears
of persecution against the country's dwindling Christian community. At least three
people were killed and more than 20 injured in last weekend's car bomb attacks in
Baghdad and Kirkup. Melanie Rodier asked John Pontifex, head of press and information
at the British charity Aid to the Church in Need, about the Christian community's
reaction to the attacks.
