Clashes Over Trade

(13 December 2005 - RV) Six days of World Trade talks began in Hong Kong on Tuesday amid clashes between police and protesters. Archbishop Silvano Tomasi the Holy See’s permanent observer to the United Nations in Geneva who is attending the talks in hong kong, says there is little optimism among negotiators that a new general free trade agreement can be reached.
