(31 Aug 2005 RV) Police in northern ireland say they are treating an arson attack
on a
Catholic school as sectarian. A window had been broken and liquid poured
in and set alight, just one day earlier another catholic school in the same area was
attacked with petrol
bombs. The attacks are blamed on protestant extremists
who have recently been
behind similar attacks on catholic churches, homes and
businesses.
Martin Kearney is the principal of one of the schools affected
- Saint Mary's.
