(31 May 2005 - RV) Pope Benedict has issued new administrative norms for the Patriarchal Basilica of Saint Paul's Outside the Walls.
The Holy Father nominated Archbishop Andrea Cordero Lanza di Montezemolo to be the new Archpriest of the basilica.
In the 'Moto Proprio' decree, the Pope once again underlined the importance of Saint Paul's as a place of pilgrimage.
Father Jim Pugliese is the Director of Rome's 'Pro Unione' Ecumenical Centre, he says that the basilica is an importance centre for ecumenical understanding.
