About 100 North Korean Catholics have attended Mass in the capital, Pyongyang, to
mourn the death of the Pope.
The Church where the Mass was said was built in
1988 but there are no resident clergy. Estimates say there are about 3,000 Catholics
in North Korea.
Kathy Zelleweger works with Caritas - the Catholic Aid and
Development Agency - and regularly visits North Korea. She spoke to Philippa Hitchen
about the importance of this Mass.
