Tanzania: Archbishop Paul Ruzoka praises the high level of collaboration in the Diocese of Kondoa

Archbishop of Tabora in Tanzania, Most Rev Paul Ruzoka has praised the high level of collaboration between Bishop of Kondoa, Bernadin Mfumbusa and members of the diocesan clergy, religious and the lay faithful of his diocese.

The archbishop made the comment during a recent Eucharistic celebration for 36 priests from various Tanzanian dioceses marking the 25th anniversary of their priestly ordination, including Bishop Mfumbusa.

He also praised the bishop for bringing together his fellow priests to celebrate their silver jubilee.

“The unity of any particular church and diocese is visible through its head, the bishop,” said Archbishop Ruzoka.

The decision to organize a joint celebration at Kondoa - according to Bishop Mfumbusa - was reached in July last year in Zanzibar where the priest who were ordained in 1992 met for a retreat.

Seven bishops, 70 priests, some government officials and hundreds of the faithful from within the diocese and beyond attended the event at the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Kondoa on October 15.
