A leading Catholic Church authority in Bangladesh has condemned Friday’s terror attack in the capital, Dhaka, as an “unjustified Barbarous act”, saying, “God cannot tolerate this massacre.” “God’s name cannot and must not be mixed up with such acts. Now Muslim believers must stand up and intervene to save their religion,” Bishop Gervas Rozario of Rajshahi, the president of the Commission for Justice and Peace of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Bangladesh (CBCB), told AsiaNews in comments on the terrorist attack on the Holey Artisan Bakery café. Bishop Rozario demanded “unanimous condemnation, saying, “No one, of any religion, can justify killing. It is sad to realize that the hostages died in this way… Peace must prevail upon all of us. " He said the Bangladeshi Church "is praying for the victims of Islamic terrorism. May God grant eternal peace to the departed souls. The Christian martyrs of the massacre shall be remembered in a very special way." (Source: AsiaNews)
