Saint Nicolas visits St. Peter's Square

(Vatican Radio) Saint Nicolas caused a stir at Wednesday’s General Audience, when he greeted pilgrims in St. Peter’s Square. Wolfgang Georg Kimmig-Liebe, A German who dresses as the Christmas figure in appearances around the world, surprised and delighted the crowds dressed in the robes of the Fourth Century Bishop.

Kimmig-Liebe travels the globe: visiting schools, hospitals, and Christmas markets. Earlier this year, he visited Syrian refugee camps located in Turkey.

It is not his first time to visit the Vatican. He met with Pope Benedict XVI during his pontificate.
