'Vatican Weekend'' for November 28, 2015

(Vatican Radio) Veronica Scarisbrick presents 'Vatican Weekend'' for November  28, 2015. As you'll discover in this programme Pope Francis had never been to Africa. That’s not until this past week when on the evening of the 25th of  November he set foot on African soil. It was on Kenyan soil. And he spent three days in this nation’s capital Nairobi, before flying west to Uganda on the 27th. The final leg of this journey which marks his 11th abroad  takes him even further west on the 29th to the Central African Republic where he’ll stay until the 30th when he returns to Rome. In this edition of Vatican Weekend you listen to the words of Pope Francis, reports by Linda Bordoni from Nairobi and an interview with the head of the Vatican Press office, Jesuit Father Federico Lombardi. Also in this programme you can listen to a feature relating to the first time a Roman Pontiff ever  set foot on African soil. It was 1969 and the Pope was Blessed Paul VI.
