Putting Mercy to Work: To comfort the sorrowful

(Vatican Radio) This week in the penultimate edition of “Putting Mercy to Work”, Vatican Radio’s programme on the seven spiritual and seven corporal works of mercy, we focus on the sixth spiritual work of mercy, “To comfort the sorrowful”.

Monsignor John Kennedy, an Official at the Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, looks at how we can adequately respond to this work and addresses how the role of the Church is to extend the spiritual comfort that Jesus himself taught us.
