International experts to review Mexico student case

(Vatican Radio) Mexican Government Officials say they've selected seven international experts from five different countries to do a radical review of the area where a drug gang allegedly disposed of the remains of 43 student teachers that they'd murdered. James Blears in Mexico says this significant  change of direction and chage of heart, follows intense and unremitting international pressure.

Listen:

The official version of the Mexican Government states that the students were murdered by gangsters after they were handed over my Municipal Police, following a legitimate protest rally.

It claims that the gang which slaughtered them then incinerated the 43 bodies at a rubbish dump, near to the Southern City of Iguala.

But a painstaking six month investigation by experts from the Inter American Commission on Human Rights categorically contradicts this.

Further doubt has been expressed by the United Nation's High Commissioner on Human Rights, who's just visited Mexico. So the Mexican Attorney General's Office has just announed this radical U turn.
