The Irish Catholic publishes study guide for Laudato Si'

(Vatican Radio) Pope Francis’ Encyclical Letter Laudato Si’ is not always easy reading.  In Ireland, The Irish Catholic newspaper launched a  book authored by theologian Fr Eamonn Conway and The Irish Catholic journalist Cathal Barry to help people understand the document.

“Praise Be To You” acts as a study guide for parish and school groups, as well as an aid for private reflection.

“Laudato Si is a quite significant document. It’s 45 thousand words,” explained Barry. “Not everyone has the time or with all the best will in the world, the interest in reading a full papal document.”

Listen to the Vatican Viewpoint interview with Cathal Barry:

Barry told Vatican Radio the aim was to make the study guide “more visual” to help people in the internet culture get through the text.

“What we wanted to was present it to people in a very accessible fashion, and we are very pleased with the way it has turned out,” he said.

The study guide can be bought by contacting the Irish Catholic at the email or phone number at this link.
