US and China in cybercrime agreement


The US and China have reached an agreement to stop commercial cyber espionage during a summit in Washington.

China's President, who is on a visit to the United States, has denied that his government has tacitly been supporting hacking activities to obtain commercial secrets from US companies.

Now top officials will regularly discuss combating cyber crime and set up a hotline to address daily issues.

President Barack Obama says more needs to be done on cyber intrusions, but said progress has been made.

Other issues discussed at the summit were China's land reclamation in the South China Sea and climate change issues.
