Uganda "very excited" about Pope Francis visit in November


(Vatican Radio) The people of Uganda are “very excited” after the official announcement Pope Francis will visit the country from 27 to 29 November, as part of a three-country African tour which will also include Kenya and the Central African Republic.

“The mood is very high,” said Monsignor John Baptist Kauta, the Secretary General of the Uganda Catholic Bishops’ Conference. 

He said country felt it was a “special privilege” that three Popes – Blessed Paul VI, St. John Paul II, and Pope Francis – will have visited the country.
