Vatican Weekend for September 12, 2015

(Vatican Radio) Vatican Weekend for September 12, 2015 features a report on the weekly general audience of Pope Francis with pilgrims from across the world, an interview with Father Andrew Small, National Director of 'Missio' in the Unites States, which focuses on an initiative that was launched on Wednesday, just two weeks ahead of Pope Francis’ pastoral visit to Washington, New York and Philadelphia. It's called 'Joke with the Pope’ and is a digital campaign encouraging people everywhere to send in their favourite joke while, at the same time, donating to one of three causes to help those most in need in Kenya, Ethiopia or Argentina. In the second part of the programme you can listen to another interview, this time with David Gibson New York based award - winning journalist, author and filmaker who's also national reporter for 'Religion News Service' centred around the 'Francis effect' in the United States as well as to Monsignor Philip Whitmore's  musical meditation on the Second Mystery of Light.
