(Vatican Radio) More deaths have been reported throughout India where thousands
have already died from a heatwave.

90 more people have been reported to have died this week from a nationwide heatwave
that has already claimed the lives of nearly 2,500 people.
Andhra Pradesh state has been the hardest hit region of India, where authorities
say more than 1,700 have died, 42 in the last 24 hours.
Temperatures on Monday reached as high as 48 degrees Celsius (118 degrees Farenheit).
The country is awaiting the yearly monsoon season which is expected to offer
some relief from the soaring temperatures.
However, forecasters say the monsoon rains may not arrive until later this week.
