Yei Catholic Bishop forgives arson on Lainya priests' house

Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe of South Sudan’s Diocese of Yei told congregants on Palm Sunday that the Diocese has forgiven unknown people who set fire on three priests’ house in Holy Family Lainya Parish early this month, extensively destroying their personal belongings and parish household property.

Bishop Lodu condemned the “painful and evil act,” calling on Christians and priests to take it as part of Lent, South Sudan’s Radio Easter reported.

The Bishop urged Christians in Yei Diocese to be courageous and pray for the attackers so that they confess and turn to God.
