'Vatican Weekend' for February 14, 2015

(Vatican Radio) 'Vatican Weekend' for February 14, 2015 features a report on the weekly general audience of Pope Francis with pilgrims from across the world, and an interview with Professor of Church history Gerald Fogarty SJ of the University of Virginia in the United States focusing on the so called Lateran Pacts. Also in this programme to mark the anniversary of the founding of Vatican Radio on the part of Pius XI in February 1931 Veronica Scarisbrick shares with you some sound clips from a radio message sent hurtling through the airwaves to the United States by his successor to the See of Peter, Pius XII in 1947, together with testimonies from some of those who have personal memories of this pontificate in less formal occasions such as family gatherings. To end the programme our popular 'Latin Lover', Carmelite Father Reginald Foster tells the story of Lourdes.
